Awhile back I blogged part I of the Film Is Not Dead workshop with Jonathan Canlas, you may remember?  Well, I was going through some of the images and decided it was about time to post some more!  Better late than never, right?  After the workshop I was dead-set on finding a way to switch back to film.. I even purchased a medium format camera.  The months went by and I leaned back on my Mark II.. but honestly, I get some much more from my film images.  More life.  More depth.  And I just love it.  It is my goal this season to really start incorporating it more in my shoots.. I always use film for personal work, and would like to shoot it exclusively for engagements and portraits at weddings.  So, be on the lookout for more film work from me in the near future!  I am hoping that putting this out in the blogosphere will push me to truly make it happen :)

In the meantime, enjoy these images from day three of the Film Is Not Dead workshop from the awesome Jonathan Canlas.

All of the above images were shot on a Canon Eos 3 with Fuji 400H.

This post has been a long time coming and I am so excited to finally blog about it!  Last month I was fortunate enough to attend Jonathan Canlas‘ workshop Film Is Not Dead in San Diego.  I’ve talked previously about my love of film, so when I heard about his workshop it definitely piqued my interest!  I am so glad that I made the decision to attend, it was an amazing experience and I learned an incredible amount – not only about film but wedding photography in general.  Jon is an incredible photographer and a wonderful teacher…if you are a photographer and have the opportunity to take one of his workshops, DO.IT.  You will, without a doubt, be happy you did.

Here are some of the images from the model shoot from the first day of the workshop..

All images were shot on a Canon EOS 3 and Fuji 400H – amazing stuff.  More to come!
